ABOUT SALES MASTER GAME
The Creation, Philosophy & Psychology behind the game.
Most salespeople do not enjoy training and even fewer look favourably on roleplaying sessions. Yet salesperson training and roleplaying is probably the most fundamental exercise any salesperson can undertake that will improve their sales performance proportionally to the time they invest in training. Professional athletes & Sports Teams, Actors, Musicians, Public Speakers, Surgeons, Pilots, Military Personnel and Emergency Responders are just a few examples of professionals who wouldn’t dream of engaging in their specific activity without extensive and strenuous training sessions, and yet most salespeople do no training at all.
This game was created to engage salespeople in roleplay sales training that is presented as a fun, easy to learn game that takes just 5-10 minutes to play. It embeds core sales techniques and mindsets through repetition. Knowing what to say, and when to say it, are the cornerstones of this game, the science or human algorithm element. The art comes in the delivery, the smoothness of transition and the unique vibe and flow of the individual sales professional.
The objections found in the game are typical everyday objections, complaints, smokescreens and stalls which salespeople in every industry encounter daily. Repeated play over 30 days embeds automatic responses when encountered in real world situations, either over the phone or face to face.
Overcoming the objection doesn’t close a deal, it just earns you the right to ask for the business again and generally you may encounter continued buyer resistance, in the form of another objection, stall, smokescreen or complaint. But winning the right to try again and by having perseverance in the close and by knowing what to say when encountering resistance is what high performing sales professionals do subconsciously without even thinking about it, they never just wing it, but are trained and prepared for anything they might face during a sales encounter.
The game has three card types; Objection Cards, Handle It Cards and Close It Cards. Objections can be overcome with either a Handle It or a Close It Card, but the solution must make sense, it must sound right. Some Handle It or Close it Cards can overcome any objection, while others will only overcome specific objections. Super cards are a subset of Close It cards and feature techniques, mindsets and processes that are only used by the top 5% of high achievers in sales.
The Values Lines found at the bottom of all cards, represents values, beliefs and behaviours commonly found in both businesses and individuals, who aspire to and achieve, high performance results in the real world sales,
